Selling or Buying a 1953 Triumph TR2?

1953 was the first year of production for the Triumph TR2 and 250 examples were made during that year. The model was designed by Walter Belgrove and built using a body-on-frame construction. The Triumph TR2 was characterized by its long rear, smooth nose, integral fenders, and cutaway doors. The suspension system was composed of coil springs and wishbones in the front, and a live axle on leaf springs in the rear. Powered by a tractor engine with double carburetors, the TR2 could produce 90 hp. The 1953 Triumph TR2 was ahead of the competition with a top speed over 100 mph and a gas mileage up to 26 mph. Inside, the cabin was tight and the driving experience offered raw sensations with the feeling of being close to the road. The Triumph TR2 was introduced at the same time as the Austin Healey 100its main competitorwith the advantage of being cheaper and more refined.
