The 1957 Ferrari 250 GT was a two-seater spider that Pininfarina unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show that same year. This was one year after Boano proposed a similar car at the show. The 1957 Ferrari 250 GT stole the show with its classic linear elements and appealed to a more distinguished client base. After producing the first forty cars, a second version was designed and produced to build up the series. Wanting to stand out from the sporty 250 GT Spider California, the Cabriolet’s design was more subdued. Its trunk room was expanded and the car was made to be cozier in its interior. Production of the model continued until 1962, with 200 cars being produced in all. The 1957 Ferrari 250 GT features covered headlights protruding from the wings, with some later models having open headlights. Extending over and through the car’s door was the front wing, which ended with mounting taillights in the shape of a triangle at the top edge.
