1961 Porsche 356 BThe Porsche 356B was the third generation of the 356 lineup and was introduced with the 1960 model year. The 356B featured a number of appearance changes. Bumpers were raised approximately four inches front and rear, and also featured larger, vertical bumper guards. Headlights were also raised so that the fender line was now almost horizontal from the cowl to the headlight rim. A horn grille above the bumper and a brake-cooling grille below were also added. In total, approximately 8,245 of the 1961 Porsche 356B models were produced, which included more than 5,800 Coupe models and 1,600 Cabriolets. During this time, a Roadster body style was also available and accounted for more than 900 of the units produced that year.
