1962 was the last year of production for the Triumph TR3 and the model was perfected in the design and mechanics. Launched in 1955, the TR3 evolved into variants commonly referred to as the TR3A and TR3Balthough these appellations were never made official by Triumph. The TR3A is characterized by its large aluminum grille, door handles, and trunk handle with a lock. Chrome rods replaced the black reeds placed between the wings and the hull. The engine output was increased to 100 hp, over the 90, then 95 hp of the previous versions. The Triumph TR3 was the first to have standard disc brakes in the front, which significantly improved the driving experience and gave the model a competitive advantage.
