Buying a 1964 Porsche 356

1964 Porsche 356Introduced in July 1963, the Porsche 356C marked the final development in the long-lived 356 lineup. The body shape was the same at that of the T6, which had been used in the late model 356B cars, with little variation. In fact, one of the only visual ways to distinguish a 1964 Porsche 356 from a 1963 is by the hubcaps. Those used on the 356C models were smaller and flatter than the Type A and Type B cars, as they were specially designed for the new wheels that were made to cover the four-wheel disk brakes and bolt pattern, as these cars were now offered with disc brakes. The 1964 Porsche was available as a coupe and a cabriolet, with the following engine options: 1600 C and 1600 SC. The 1600 SC was the most powerful pushrod engine Porsche had ever produced; presenting drivers with 95hp. Porsche 356 production also peaked in 1964 with 14,151 cars.
