The first Aston Martin DB6 Mk II was produced in the summer of 1969. Succeeding to the Mk I model, the Mk II was made more luxurious and featured standard options such as power steering. Thanks to a longer wheelbase than previously used on the DB4 and DB5, the 1970 Aston Martin DB6 Mk II is a genuine 4-seater Grand Tourer, with significantly more space for the rear passengers. A gorgeous and anti-lift Kamm-style rear end participated to the improvement of the car’s high-speed stability. The Tadek Marek designed 4-Liter engine boasts 282 hp at 5,500 rpm for the standard engine, and up to 325 hp for the Vantage option. Transmitted to the wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox, the DB6 is a very fun car to drive and is still highly rated by enthusiasts nowadays.
