Selling or Buying a 1984 Ferrari Testarossa?

1984 Ferrari TestarossaThe Ferrari Testarossa was a successful successor to its predecessor, the beloved Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer. 1984 was the first year of production for the Ferrari Testarossa and the model was continued for 12 years, with multiple improvements and versions available throughout production. The Testarossa was based on the exotic body style of the Daytona, although significant changes were introduced. The new design was half a foot wider, with the front end narrower than the back. The car also featured strakes (ironically referred to as cheese graters) running from the door to the rear fender on each side. Its 4.9-L DOHC 12-cylinder engine was mid-mounted longitudinally, like that of the Berlinetta Boxer. Each cylinder had four valves, making a total of 48 valves, which combined to produce a maximum power of 390 hp at 6,300 rpm. The Testarossa had a top of speed of 180 mph and could manage an initial acceleration of 0 to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds. It was not faster than the Berlinetta, but then it was built for convenience and comfort rather than speed. Buying a classic car, regardless of whether or not it is a Ferrari, is an important decision and if youre unsure about the model that best fits your needs, dont hesitate to ask The Beverly Hills Car Club team to help you with your research.
