S stood for steel, in reference to the steel fender extensions in opposition to the polyester fabrication used on the previous Pantera GT5 model. Compared to its direct predecessor, the Pantera GT5-S featured a similar cabin, with leather and wood inserts. The three-spoke steering wheel and shifter had a solid feel and modern look, adding to the enjoyable driving experience.
