The 1987 Ferrari 328 GTS succeeded the Ferrari 308 series with little changes. The 328 had been introduced in 1985 and was available in a coupe or targa trim. Power was coming from a 3 Liter dual-overhead cam V8 engine capable of delivering up to 260 hp. The 1987 Ferrari 328 GTS also featured a Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection system, disc brakes, and a five-speed manual gearbox among its other well-engineered parts. Cabin ergonomics were improved and the shape of the seats were refined to be better suited to the sport driving style. On every version, low profile tires and 16-inch alloy wheels were available as an option. This was a revision that equalized front to rear weight balance helped with the road holding. The Ferrari 328 suspension system was the time-tested, unequal-length dual wishbone design with coil springs over Koni shock absorbers. It posted standard front and rear anti-roll bars.
