610 units of the Lamborghini Countach LP 5000 QV were built between 1985 and 1988 before the 25th anniversary model took over from 1988 to 1990. This third generation of Countach was fitted with a 5.2-liter V12 engine that could deliver an output of 455 hp. A US market version was produced from 1986 featuring crash bumpers in the front and rear, and a fuel injection system to meet regulations requirements. The design was signed by Marcello Gandini at Bertone and was a great success thanks to the iconic scissor doors and angular, futuristic lines. The suspension of the 1988 Lamborghini Countach was altered to fit wider tires in the front, while Pirelli P7 remained in the rear. The inside was the same than the previous model, with added air conditioning.
