Selling or Buying a 1964 Ferrari 275 GTB?

1964 Ferrari 275 GTBThe Ferrari 275 GTB was first manufactured in 1964 and its production continued until 1968. The successor to the Ferrari 250, this 2-seater grand touring classic featured elegant lines and a very distinguishable body that stands out in the Ferrari line as one of the most delicate and refined. A 3.3-Liter Colombo 60 V12 engine powered the 1964 Ferrari 275 GTB, producing 280hp for the base model and up to 300hp with a specific engine option. For the first time in Ferraris engineering history, a transaxle was introduced, integrating the transmission and rear axle for an improved driving experience. Although it was presented as a Grand Touring vehicle and was indeed comfortable and luxurious, the Ferrari 275 GTB was actually more of a sports car with great performance and driving. Built by Scaglietti, the car came with 3 or 6 Weber twin-choke carburetors and some examples were ordered with an aluminum body instead of the standard steel body. Many collectors and enthusiasts favor these aluminum body models, yet they can be quite difficult to find.
