However, the V8 not being ready in time, the DBS inherited the engine used for the DB6. This 4.0L DOHC straight-6 engine produces 283 hp at 5,500 rpm. To offset the weight gain from the heavier DBS’s body, the Vantage option was used to increase power; it boosted the horsepower up to 325. Still relatively lightweight (3,760 lb), the DBS is a very fun car to drive.
