The Lamborghini Jarama succeeded to the Islero model as a small four-seater GT. Produced from 1970 to 1976; three variants of the model were introduced. The first model was the Lamborghini Jarama 400 GT available from 1970 to 1973, followed by the Jarama 400 GTS from 1973 to 1976 and the unique prototype produced by Bob Wallace in 1972, known as the Lamborghini Jarama Rally S. Designed by Bertone, the body of the Jarama was the work of talented Marcello Gandini. Although not the most popular design when it was introduced at the 1970 Geneva Motor Show, the Jarama became an iconic classic later on. Its sharp and angular lines, gorgeous dashboard and well-made cabin made it a convenient model and more affordable than the full four-seater Espada. The 1971 Lamborghini Jarama was fitted with the manufacturer’s 4-liter V12, capable of 350 hp and a top speed over 150 mph.
