The De Tomaso Pantera model was launched in 1970 and produced until 1993. Many upgrades and improvements were made to the car throughout the years. In 1981, three models of Pantera were available: the Lusso, the GTS Euro, and the GT5. The Lusso was a comfortable and luxurious version, while the GTS was a sportier model. Introduced in 1980, the GT5 is characterized by extended polyester fenders enabling the fitting of larger tires in the front and rear, with rims similar to those used on racing Pantera GR 4 models. Front lights progressively split into two parts separating lights and blinkers. Real leather was now used inside and bucket seats were made available as an option. The car could be ordered with multiple leather colors and wood inserts could be fitted on the dash and doors. Another option available was to add a delta wing similar to the one used on the Lamborghini Countach.
