Buying a 1985 Aston Martin V8

1985 Aston Martin V8Introduced in October 1978, the Aston Martin V8 was cleverly referred to as the Oscar India model, which makes reference to its October introduction. This model was part of the Series 4 of the Aston Martin V8 and ran until 1985 before the Lagonda and Zagato took over. The Oscar India was launched at the Birmingham International Motor Show and featured a revised bonnet power bulge and a new spoiler integrated into the boot lid tail. The interior offered more comfort and refinement, with electric windows, leather headlining, wood-embellished fascia, re-styled center console and improved air conditioning. A special Oscar India version was made for the American market, equipped with a “Torqueflite” three-speed automatic transmission for most examples but also available with the ZF Five-speed manual gearbox. Just 352 Oscar India Coupe vehicles were built, making this model one of the most rare of all Aston Martin classics. The 1985 Aston Martin V8 was also made available in a Convertible version known as Volante (Aston Martin designation for Convertible) and could be ordered with the boosted Vantage engine. Please don’t hesitate to call the Aston Martin classic specialists at The Beverly Hills Car Club to inquire further about the Aston Martin V8.
