Selling or Buying a 1985 Ferrari 308 GTS?

1985 Ferrari 308 GTSAt a time where technology was improving rapidly and concern for the environment rose, the U.S. regulations got stricter for gas emissions. The new regulations forced Ferrari to find a rapid solution for the Ferrari 308 GTS; thus, the 1980 models featured fuel-injection systems instead of the Weber carburetors. This change reduced the power output significantly and engineers worked towards a solution to comply with the regulations while recovering the lost power. They finally came up with a system of four valves per cylinder, giving the third generation of Ferrari 308 GTB and GTS the name QV, which stands for Quattrovalvole and means four valves. The mid-mounted 3-liter V8 engine was then rated at 240 hp, which made it more enjoyable for the driver. It was said to hit 60 mph from a standstill position in just over six seconds, with a top speed of 155 mph. The targa model was a great hit, very nicely designed and making the 1985 Ferrari 308 GTS a perfect Sunday car.
