When the model was launched in 1946, only allies were allowed to exhibit and Pininfarina found a solution to show two of his creations outside the Grand Palais in Paris, by having the model commissioned by a French customer. The Bentley Mark VI Facel-Metallon Cresta II fixed head coupe was powered by a 4.2-liter, 6-cylinder engine, linked to a four-speed manual gearbox, giving the car satisfying performance.
