About Pourtout
Carrosserie Pourtout was a French coach building company founded by Marcel Pourtout in 1925. The company is known for its designs up until World War II, including prestigious bodies for European manufacturers. Until the war, Pourtout designs were presented at the annual Paris Auto Show. From 1947 to 1952, the firm still showed some models at the Paris Auto Show and produced a number of prestigious bodies before the operations shifted to industry and advertising. Carrosserie Pourtout designed and manufactured bodies for at least 20 carmakers, including FIAT, Bugatti, Lancia, Renault, Peugeot, Bentley, Delage, Delahaye and Chrysler. Nowadays, Pourtout doesn’t have creative operations but still operate as a vehicle body repair shop.
