Oddly enough, rather than a direct successor to the Silver Wraith, the Rolls Royce Silver Wraith II was a variant of the Silver Shadow II. Thus the Silver Wraith can be more readily compared to a large, low-riding saloon than the small cars that were the original Wraith and Silver Wraith. The longer wheelbase on the Silver Wraith II provided a bit of extra leg room for driver and passenger allowing them to ride in complete comfort. An Everflex roof and a smaller rear window would distinguish the Silver Wraith II from the Silver Shadow and Silver Shadow II giving it an appearance more reminiscent of a convertible.

Most would be built as 4-doors saloon but there were options for a 2-door or a Drophead Coupe. Otherwise it had much the same attributes as the Silver Shadows with self-levelling suspension (rather than outdated live axles), a modern unibody design, and a powerful V8 engine. These things coupled with its fierce figure and bold character, would carry on for decades.

If youd like to own a Rolls Royce Silver Wraith II in particular, youll want to note that its wheelbase will be about four inches longer. You dont want to get it confused with a Silver Shadow convertible and should remember that all Silver Wraiths have serial numbers running from 30000 and up. While youre doing this you may want to check the VIN (vehicle identification numbers) and see if they match. Its not the end of the world if they dont but a car with matching VIN is always a superior value proposition.
