This example is further equipped with the optional Premium Package, Audi Navigation Plus, and an upgraded audio package, along with a center console that ties the cabin together with a clean, driver-oriented design. 

The B6 S4 Avant was developed during a period when Audi was heavily influenced by its endurance racing success, and the naturally aspirated 4.2-liter V8 gave the wagon a character more commonly associated with German grand touring cars than a traditional family hauler. With a 6-speed manual transmission and Quattro all-wheel drive, it offered a combination that few manufacturers produced at the time.
