The 100-6 was introduced as the successor to the Austin-Healey 100, with the “6” in its name referring to its new six-cylinder engine.

Equipped with a 2.6L inline six-cylinder engine, dual SU carburetors with pancake-style air cleaners, and a 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Additional features include four-wheel drum brakes, updated ignition coil, floor-mounted shifter, dual exhaust outlets, Smiths instrumentation, low-back bucket seats, Lecarra 3-spoke steering wheel, passenger dash grab handle, driver-side rearview mirror, dash-mounted rearview mirror, overdrive toggle switch, and 15-inch multi-spoke wire wheels with knock-off hubs and Nexen black-wall tires.
The engine recently underwent a comprehensive overhaul and has fewer than 4,000 miles since the work was completed at a cost of $18,473 invested between October 2021 and February 2023. The 2.6L inline-six received a complete rebuild by Thompson British Car, including an acid-dipped block, new pistons, rings, bearings, timing chain, valves, valve guides, and oil pump, along with a reground camshaft, rebuilt rocker arms, and a rodded radiator. At the same time, the fuel and hydraulic systems were refreshed with rebuilt SU carburetors, a new gas tank and fuel pump, new water pump and hoses, a complete clutch rebuild, and renewed four-wheel drum brake components.
This is a running-and-driving project car that will require additional work before it is considered road-ready. The current condition is reflected in the price, offering an enthusiast the opportunity to complete the remaining repairs and bring this classic British sports car back to the road. For $16,750
