Powered by a Rolls-Royce-built V8 mated to an automatic transmission with column shift. This classic car is equipped with power steering, SU dual carburetors, drum brakes, and a single exhaust outlet, providing optimal road manners without sacrificing its refined character.
The exterior showcases hallmark design elements including quad headlamps, chrome bumpers with overriders, Lucas fog lights, Vogue whitewall tires, 15-inch steel wheels with Rolls-Royce hubcaps, and the iconic Spirit of Ecstasy leading the way. Inside, occupants are greeted by wood trim, Smiths instrumentation, a three-spoke steering wheel, air conditioning, power windows, rear picnic tables, an analog clock, and a Blaupunkt radio, all reinforcing the Silver Cloud's understated luxury. Included are the jack and full-size spare tire, neatly stored in the boot.
Recently benefited from a comprehensive mechanical restoration and major service totaling $24,743.96, documented with receipt copies dating from 2024. Work performed includes a complete fuel system overhaul with rebuilt carburetors and new vacuum advance, a full ignition tune-up, cooling system service with a new thermostat and auxiliary fan repair, and drivetrain attention including a new starter, battery, and transmission band adjustments. The braking system was refreshed with wheel cylinders at all four corners, along with an exhaust system, Vogue Classic White tires, and a complete fluids and safety inspection.
The Silver Cloud III was the first Rolls-Royce production model to feature quad headlights, a design change that marked a subtle but important shift toward modern styling while retaining traditional proportions.
