1968 Triumph GT6 Mark I

Introducing this late-production 1968 Triumph GT6 Mark I finished in Conifer Green over a dark brown interior, recently brought out of a dry Arizona desert climate. The GT6 was developed as Triumph's closed-roof evolution of the Spitfire, styled by Giovanni Michelotti, with a fastback coupe design that improved both aerodynamics and practicality. This example carries provenance showing ownership and history in both California and Arizona, reflecting long-term residence in dry Western conditions

Highlights:
- Exterior Color: Conifer Green
- Interior Color: Dark Brown
- 2.0-Liter Inline-Six
- 4-Speed Manual Transmission
- Zenith-Stromberg Dual Carburetors
- Front Wheel Disc Brakes
- Smiths Instrumentation
- Chrome Accents
- Toggle Switches
- 13-Inch Slotted Mag-style Wheels

Equipped with a 2.0-liter inline-six paired with a 4-speed manual transmission, this GT6 Mark I is also equipped with Zenith-Stromberg dual carburetors, front disc brakes, Smiths instrumentation, toggle switch controls, wood veneer dashboard fascia, single exhaust outlet, and 13-inch slotted mag-style wheels mounted with Ironman tires. The interior retains its original charm with manual-crank windows, pop-out rear quarter vents, and vent windows, keeping the focus on simplicity and driver engagement.

The clamshell-style bonnet provides wide access to the engine bay, a feature intended to make servicing the inline-six more practical despite the compact chassis. Compared to many small British sports cars of its era, the GT6 stands out for its use of a six-cylinder engine in a lightweight platform, giving it a more flexible power delivery and a distinct driving character.

This example is currently not running and requires mechanical sorting to be roadworthy. Presenting a straightforward opportunity, particularly for someone looking for an inline-six British classic without the premium attached to fully sorted examples. Offered as a value-oriented entry into one of Triumph's more distinctive period sports coupes. For $11,750
