Hand-built in Italy and assembled on a GM A-body chassis, the Blackhawk represents one of the most distinctive luxury automobiles of the 1970s. Styled by renowned designer Virgil Exner, it is instantly recognizable by its towering upright radiator-style grille, free-standing chrome headlamp pods, exposed side-exit exhaust pipes, and the signature rear deck lid with its faux continental spare tire hump and exposed chrome wheel. Built in very limited numbers, the Blackhawk attracted celebrities, entertainers, and business leaders of the era, making it one of the most exclusive American luxury cars of its time.
