Power comes from the 5.3-liter V12 engine, mated to an automatic transmission. The vehicle is equipped with front-wheel disc brakes and rides on 15-inch wire wheels with knock-off spinners wrapped in BFGoodrich tires. Exterior features include dual exhaust outlets, Cibie headlights, chrome trim, chrome/rubber bumpers, and side marker lights.
The interior features front bucket seats with head restraints, a 2-spoke steering wheel, Smiths instrumentation, analog clock, center console, door pockets, glove compartment, and an FM/AM radio. Comfort and convenience are supported by air conditioning, power windows, speed control, and dual-side rearview mirrors. The trunk houses a full-size spare tire and jack. Included with the car are the owner's handbook, repair manual, and a clean CARFAX report. Note: The paint shows some checking, consistent with age.
The XJS V12 was one of the last production cars to use a naturally aspirated V12 as standard equipment in the early 1980s, at a time when most manufacturers were downsizing enginesmaking it a unique blend of old-school engineering and luxury.
