Selling or Buying a 1955 Triumph TR3?

Launched in 1955, the Triumph TR3 succeeded to the TR2 model and was produced in 13,377 examples until summer 1957, when it was replaced by the Triumph TR4. The Triumph TR3 was particularly popular on the American market, where most of the examples built were sent. The cars were manufactured by Standard Motor Company in the UK. Initially, the model was a two-seater convertible but a hardtop and a third seat were made available on option. The inline four-cylinder engine could produce 95 hp thanks to bigger carburetors and the car would reach 60 mph from still in less than 10.8 seconds. Top speed was recorded over 105 mph. The unit was matted to a four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive. Disc brakes were available as an option. The design of the TR3 was penned by Walter Belgrove and can be distinguished from the TR2 by a slightly modified grille using aluminum and chrome.
