Selling or Buying a 1957 Maserati 3500?

1957 Maserati 3500 When it first came out in 1957, the Maserati 3500 was a revolution in the sports car world. Not only was the car powerful, but what set it apart from its competitors was its elegance, differing from the usual racy and busy body styles of other sports cars. Under the hood, an all-alloy twin cam 3.5-liter unit -hence the name 3500- powered the GT, equipped with Weber carburetors for the early models. Two trims were available: a 2+2 coupe designed by Touring and a convertible designed by Vignale, which used a two-inch shorter wheelbase. Some special units were made with all-aluminum bodies and other unique features. The suspension system was even and comfortable, yet offered great handling with a more sporty driving experience. Maserati conserved the leaf springs in the back, adopted on previous models, with coil springs in front and a live axle.
