Two trims were available: a 2+2 coupe designed by Touring and a convertible designed by Vignale, which used a two-inch shorter wheelbase. Some special units were made with all-aluminum bodies and other unique features. The suspension system was even and comfortable, yet offered great handling with a more sporty driving experience. Maserati conserved the leaf springs in the back, adopted on previous models, with coil springs in front and a live axle.
