Designed by Fritz Ramseier, the Bentley Mark VI Ramseier Brothers drophead coupe was presented on the Rolls-Royce and Bentley stand at the 1950 Geneva Auto Show. A few chassis of the Bentley Mark VI car were consigned to individual coachbuilders, while the bulk of production received the standard steel body. Until 1951, the model was powered by a 6-cylinder, 4.2-liter engine with twin SU carburetors. Coupled to a 4-speed manual transmission, the Bentley Mark VI delivered 130 hp and reached top speeds around 100 mph. Based on a chassis equipped with independent suspension in the front and leaf springs in the rear, the model had a control on the steering wheel to adjust the hardness of the rear springing.
