The open drophead coupe was made mostly by Park Ward was brand new to the Bentley line when launched. In its primary stages, Vilhelm Koren of Norway designed it for Park Ward and it uniquely featured a straight fender line. For customers, Park Ward was able to create each vehicle with its own unique flare. 125 of the 388 S2 Continentals produced were uniquely a Drophead Coup design. These were equipped with the newly debuted V8 engine as well as other unique amenities like improved air-conditioning and power steering.
