Vanquish
verb [ T ]

To defeat an enemy or opponent, especially in war:

Napoleon was vanquished at the battle of Waterloo in 1815. The Vanquished army surrendered their weapons. (Cambridge Dictionary)

Still? Vanquish? Doesn’t it sound like it could be an ice-cream brand? Or a laundry detergent? Instead, this is what Car magazine considered, back in 2001: ‘The best executed, best engineered Aston Martin ever? Certainly.’

Moreover, the Aston Martin Vanquish, built from 2001 to 2007 as the flagship of the marque, a successor to the Aston Martin Virage, was the car that rekindled Aston Martin’s relationship with the 007 franchise.

In 2002’s Die Another Day Pierce Brosnan starred alongside a Vanquish, fitted with machine guns and missiles, as well as a stealth-inducing invisibility mode that led Q to refer to it as the ‘Aston Vanish’. Clever… Unsurprisingly, Brosnan himself owned one. You don’t suppose he got a deal on it, do you?

Fellow Brit thespian Hugh Grant also puttered along to auditions in a Vanquish…

In the standard Vanquish model there was no such Bond-like vanishing equipment, however. But there was an absolute stack of torque: this car is so great, you don’t even want to turn the radio on – just listen to the growl of the engine. Svelte but simultaneously muscular, the design of the Vanquish is simply gorgeous, that rear haunch giving the Vanquish a hugely confident stance.

Difficult as it is to believe, the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish is now well past its 20th birthday.

More than two decades have slipped past since it wrested Aston Martin into the modern era, technologically and stylistically, while still being built at its traditional workplace of Newport Pagnell.

Of course, on the surface, the Aston Martin Vanquish can be seen simply as a rather expensive luxury car that has a top speed of 190 mph and a 0-60 mph time of a slight 4.8 seconds (think about it and you’ve reached that speed)…

But there is much more to it than that. For happily, the Aston Martin Vanquish, one of the fastest road cars Aston has ever produced, has excellent brakes and a chassis that can deal with all that power – provided you know what you are doing behind the wheel. And then there is so much more to this car than just sharp handling: it’s as much a driver-oriented grand tourer as a sports car. Its ride is excellent and the Vanquish can cross continents not only quickly, but also comfortably.

When the Vanquish was launched in 2001 – with a suitable fanfare of James Bond-tied publicity – it came with a 460bhp, 400lb ft V12 engine, and a set of fabulous performance figures: you would have thought that performance could not have got any better.

Inside the car has a cosy feel and all but the tallest drivers should have enough room.

From the launch of the Aston Martin Vanquish there was a two-year waiting list for the 300 built each year.

But right now if you come to Beverly Hills Car Club, you will no longer have to wait in vain to find your Vanquish. For we have an ultra-low mileage 2003 Aston Martin Vanquish V12 with only 13,073 miles shown on the odometer; this motoring masterpiece is finished in a black exterior, beautifully complemented with an interior in the same color. This exquisite supercar is a true embodiment of luxury and performance, boasting a sleek and timeless design that is sure to turn heads wherever it goes.

Powered by a potent 6.0-liter V12 engine and paddle-shifted automatic transmission; additional equipment includes ventilated four-wheel disc brakes, brake calipers with ‘Aston Martin’ script, dual exhaust outlet, 19-inch alloy chrome wheels, and Yokohama tires. This particular Aston Martin comes with receipt copies totaling up to $47,667.85 that has been invested into the vehicle, dating from July 2008 through January 2023. This extensive investment underscores the attention that this vehicle has received over the years, ensuring it remains in optimal condition.

British sports cars are constantly rising in value; this is an excellent opportunity to acquire this Vanquish V12 that is mechanically sound.
