The 1959 Bentley S1 Continental was the first Continental model fitted with the 4.9-liter straight six engine. The car still came standard with an automatic transmission. The car’s body style remained pretty consistent with each coachbuilder creating each one with its own unique look. This was the last S1 Continental model to be manufactured before the company decided to make another change. It featured soft suspension as well as a four-wheel drum braking system. Park Ward and H.J. Mulliner did most of the coachwork on these models, which make these cars especially valuable.
