The 1963 Bentley S3 Continental was the first model year produced for the S3 Continental Series. A few years earlier in 1961, the H.J. Mulliner Company was bought by Rolls Royce. At that time, the H.J. Mulliner Company was combined with Park Ward, which Rolls Royce had in its possession since 1939. This combination was to be known as Mulliner, Park Ward, Limited. The S3 Continental was strictly custom and it was a coachbuilder exclusive for the luxury car aficionado. The car was markedly faster due to its increased compression ratio and lightweight because of its fully aluminum frame.
