Powered by a six-cylinder, 6.6-liter engine featuring overhead camshaft and four valves per cylinder, the Bentley 6.5 Litre delivered 147 hp at 3,500 rpm. A new dry-plate design was introduced, including clutch brake for fast gear changes. The Bentley 6.5 Litre was also equipped with power-assisted four-wheel brakes and finned drums. Different wheelbases were made for the model, ranging from 132 to 152.5 in. The Bentley Speed Six came in 1928 and was equipped with a single-port block, a high-performance camshaft and two SU carburetors.
