A 5-speed all-synchromesh manual gearbox with a single-plate clutch transmitted the power to the wheels.

Design-wise, the Ferrari 365 GT4 shows a very characteristic body designed by Pininfarina. Departing from its predecessor with a three-box design, the GT4 was the second Ferrari to boast a swage line design dividing the body into an upper and lower half.
