“In the first telephone call, we were presented with a somewhat reasonable offer. Someone had been out to look at the car & took pictures. There was no pressure when I told them we wanted time to think about it; but in our initial conversation, I knew they meant business. We thought about it for a week or more. We called them back & made a counter-offer and that day they called, accepted the counter-offer, made a date to pick up the car. The young man came on the appointed day & time. He gave me a cashier’s check, I signed the necessary papers & he drove away with the car. The young man was peasant & respectful & helped us take pictures of our much loved 1968 jaguar for our memory book.”
