Produced from 1957 to 1961, the Jaguar XK150 was the third and final iteration of the widely popular XK range of Jaguars, which had started in 1948 with the XK120 and that continued in 1954 with the XK140. Said to be the answer to competition from BMW and Mercedes-Benz at the time, there were few cosmetic changes at the time; the biggest changes were in suspension and performance. The 1958 Jaguar XK150 and its other year models were available in three body styles the coupe, which was a hardtop that seated two to three people and was referred to as the Fixed Head Coupe (FHC), a convertible that offered seating for two or three and was called the Drop Head Coupe (DHC), and a Roadster, which was an open two-seater or OTS. The back seats in the coupes were very small and thus these cars were considered two to three-seaters. The Roadster, on the other hand, did not offer a rear seat.
There were a handful of exterior and interior changes to the 1958 Jaguar XK150 and its sister models. While the XK140 had a flat, divided windshield, the Jaguar XK150 offered a single curved piece of glass. The XK150 also featured red parking lights mounted on the top of the fenders, so the driver could tell they were on. Roll-up windows, inside door handles, a leather-trimmed dashboard, and thinner doors make the interior cabin more spacious, comfortable and luxurious. These sports cars were powerful and elegant for their time and are as beautiful today as they were when they were manufactured decades ago.
