The Bentley S3 Continental is the high-performance version of the traditional Bentley S3 released in 1962. The S3 Continental was strictly coach built and custom. They were available in both previous body styles: fixed head and drophead coupes. The most popular difference from the S2 Continental was the four canted headlights on the front of the vehicle. The S3 Continental’s bodywork was constructed purely of aluminum to keep the body lightweight. Higher gearing and a higher engine compression ratio made this S3 Continental model faster than the models released previously. In addition to the coupes available, the four-door Flying Spur model from Mulliner was available as well. Another four-door model also came out designed by James Young.
