The Morgan Plus 8 was a sports car that saw production from 1968 to 2004, and was then brought out of retirement in 2012. It was inspired by the success of the Plus 4 Plus, except that the Plus 8 reverted back to the vintage body style of previous Morgan models. Unlike other Morgans, the Plus 8 was built with much more powerful engines. It was available in three versions: the 3.5 liter, 3.9 liter, and 4.6 liter; all of the Plus 8 engines were V8s. The Plus 8 didnt see that many changes over the years, but it was built with three different manual transmissions. Models before 1977 were given a four-speed transmissions, while models between 1977 and 2004 were given a five-speed. Plus 8 made from 2012 and beyond has a 6-speed manual transmission.
